"I've been so far behind on every bill, it's not funny! NAA is the only way I could have ever turned it around."
Patrick Connors was born in San Francisco and spent much of his childhood bouncing from army base to army base with his father. By the time he was in college, Patrick had made it all way to the opposite coast in Ithaca, New York. Here, he attended Cornell University and took on a heavy workload; he not only received Master?s Degree in Aerospace Engineering, he also earned a Bachelor?s Degree in Mechanical Engineering. He put his education to work by serving his country as a Lieutenant in the United States Air Force.Life after the military proved difficult for Connors; although he was experienced and well educated in his field, it was difficult to support his growing family, including his wife Suzanne. The family feared their debts would eventually take over their lives. It was at their darkest hour that Patrick received a helping hand from Alex Abuyuan, his godfather. Knowing that Connors was struggling to pay his bills, Alex made an offer to Patrick to make $100,000 in only six months. Patrick did the math and immediately signed up with NAA.
It took a lot of hard work in the beginning before Patrick found success. Self-doubt, financial hardships, and rejections made him consider quitting twice. However, with the guidance of Alex Abuyuan and his own determination to succeed, Patrick eventually built one of the most successful agencies in the history of NAA.
What a difference a career makes! Now, Patrick has freedom from the daily 9-to-5 grind, and more time than ever to spend with his family: "I play baseball with my kids during the day. I take my kids to the zoo. I'm the only Daddy on field trips. I'm free!"
Patrick has never forgotten his own struggles before NAA; currently he is helping his children?s school build a new high school building in hopes of giving back to the community. His seven children, including Riley, Regan, Finian, Magdalen, Mary, Niall, and Nolan still have a few years left before they will be ready to attend the new high school.
Besides monetary contribution, Patrick also wants to use his successes to "help LOTS of people get free by building NAA businesses." Patrick wishes to guide recruits and give them the same opportunity he was given by his godfather. He encourages new agents to "get on EVERY conference call, go to EVERY meeting, and be coachable." With a positive mindset and personal tenacity, Patrick believes anyone can become successful at NAA.
